The $400 Million Pledge

John Kluge, CC'37, has pledged $400 million for financial aid for Columbia graduate and undergraduate students. This is the largest gift ever given exclusively for the purpose of financial aid, and, according to the Chronicle of Higher Education, the fourth largest presented to any other institution of higher learning in the country.
